I love the Bourne movie series and just bought several of the Bourne audio books.  In the Bourne Identity it says Jason hit Marie in the hotel when she wouldn't cooperate when he was wanting her to help him blend in and find a way out of the hotel.  Later he mentions that he did hit her and she says she would have done the same thing if she had it in her.

I thought this was very strange and I wanted to see if any of you read (or listened to) differently.  Did I understand it correctly; did Jason hit Marie?
