Doctor Donald Foite was a major antagonist in the 2012 film The Bourne Legacy. He was a rogue scientist working in Operation Outcome.
He was portrayed by Željko Ivanek.
History[]
Foite was part of the R&D team that had worked on Operation Outcome, developing Chems for the program's agents. While the scientists appeared to have been largely unaware of the exact nature of their work, Foite wasn't afforded this ignorance as he himself had been subjected to the program's behavioral modification protocol, to be used against his colleagues when the situation was needed. When Jason Bourne and Pamela Landy's public exposure of Operations Treadstone and Blackbriar had threatened Outcome as well, Eric Byer decides to have all of the program's agents and R&D scientists killed. Using the behavioral modification imposed on Foite, Byer had dispatched him assassinate the latter group.
After waiting for all of the other Outcome R&D scientists to enter their private laboratory, Foite entered, sabotaged the doors behind him, and proceeded to ruthlessly gun his colleagues down. Before he could kill Marta Shearing (who would go on to be the sole survivor of the attack) security managed to gain entry into the laboratory and shot Foite, who would then turn the gun on himself.
